What we do

UK Home Broadband is a free tool for checking broadband availability across every postcode in the UK. We show you exactly which broadband types are available at your address, along with typical speeds for each, based on official Ofcom data.

We built it because finding accurate, unbiased availability information is harder than it should be. Most comparison sites are commercial operations that only show providers they earn commission from. We show all of them.

Our data

All availability data comes directly from Ofcom's Connected Nations dataset, updated annually. This is the same dataset the regulator uses to measure the state of UK broadband. We do not receive payments from providers to influence results, and we do not inflate or manipulate the figures we display.

We cover over 1.5 million UK postcodes and more than 7,800 ward-level areas. Our dataset is refreshed each year when Ofcom publishes new figures.

How it works

Enter your postcode and we look it up against the Ofcom dataset to show which broadband technologies are available at your address: ADSL standard broadband, FTTC superfast, FTTP full fibre, cable, and 4G/5G mobile broadband, along with typical download and upload speeds for each.

From your results you can click through to providers that cover your area to compare their latest deals and pricing directly.
